Robert Miller, 82, of Marion, passed away on Sept. 3, 2021, at his home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, from
4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at 11 a.m., with burial to follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert Jan Miller was born Nov. 21, 1938, in Huron, S.D., the son of Robert and Gwen (Bunker) Miller. He graduated from Natrona County High School and Casper College, both of Casper, Wyo. After serving time in the U.S. Air Force, he went to work at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Robert was united in marriage to Esther Dryer on July 7, 1961, in Casper, Wyo. He was an active member of the International Plastic Modelers Society and the Embroiderers Guild of America. He played trumpet for the Marion band, the Dixielanders, and other local groups.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Lee (Judy) Miller of Cedar Rapids and Keith Loren (Mary) Miller of Cedar Rapids; grandson, Adam John Miller; a great-granddaughter, Azaylea Rose Miller; and a brother, Errol Miller of Casper, Wyo.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his son, Kevin Lance; and his siblings, Pamela, Barry and Wyn.
