MELVIN L. "BUTCH“ GOLDSWORTH
Cedar Rapids
Melvin L. "Butch" Goldsworth, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital. Melvin was born Aug. 25, 1942, the son of Orval and Wanda (Deeds) Goldsworth. He married Diana L Weaver. They later separated. In his earlier years he worked for CR Waste, Rollin Homes and Lifts.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Scott) Kramer of Central City; his son, Tim (Deneen) Weaver of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jessie (Zach) Nielsen, Nick (fiancee Maddie Saskowski) Kramer, Zach Kramer, Nicole (Chris) Sisco and Tonya (Kyle) Freeman; great-grandson, Kaiden Nielsen; and sisters, Orva (Terry) Luke and Linda Howell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Wanda; and parents-in-law, Leland and Bernita Weaver.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Nancy Kramer at 1390 Bowdish Rd., Central City, IA 52214.
