Jeffrey N. Eidel died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, in Iron Mountain, Mich. A Celebration of Life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, at Uptown Snug in Marion, Iowa.
He was born in 1952 to Darlene and Richard Eidel and grew up in Marion, Iowa. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1970. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974-78. He worked at Pitney Bowes then went on to own Jeffrey's Supper Club and Putters Bar and Grill.
Jeff was an avid bass fisherman and was a former member of the Cedar Rapids Bassmasters. Jeff enjoyed NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed photography and collecting old cameras.
Jeffrey is survived by his former wife, Joan (Peckham) Eidel; children, Matt (Maggie) Eidel of St. Louis, Mo., and Heath (Amy) Eidel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Dean (Kim) of Beechgrove, Tenn; sisters, Ellen (Danny) Cox and Darlene Eidel, both of Palm Harbor, Fla.; grandchildren, Jenna, Liam, Lincoln, Brendan, Skylar, Wyatt and Colton; and nieces and nephews, Kasey, Daniel, Brian, Mandy and Travis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Eidel.
