Corey Montez Black, born June 30, 1972, was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend. Corey departed us peacefully on Aug. 18, 2021, surrounded by his daughter, Rosalynn Carter and husband Addison; Dawn Black and son Marshaun; brother, Greg McGrew; family friend, Tracy Eison; and girlfriend, Brittney Haworth.
Corey was a light of joy, always smiling, cracking jokes and ALWAYS ready for another plate of food! He took life's challenges and made them his strengths. He loved his family and enjoyed hanging out with them and his friends often. He loved working on cars, something he was once told would be impossible. Corey also was an avid fisherman; whether rain or shine, he always found a reason to go. He always saw and made you see the positive in any situation and he will truly be missed.
He was guided through the gates of Heaven by his son, Kaylen; mother, Bobbie; father, Tommy; sister, Joyce; and brothers, Tony and Rodney. He leaves behind a host of family and friends who will always remember the laughter and love!
