Fern Netolicky, 91, of Cedar Rapids, entered into eternal rest at her home Friday, Aug. 20, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sulek Cemetery, rural Shueyville, with the Rev. Harris Holsapple officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to
7 p.m. Tuesday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, Cedar Rapids.
Fern is survived by her children, Louis (Jennie) Netolicky, rural Solon, Marlene (Dennis) Tiernan, Cedar Rapids, Charlene (Mike) Horstman, Marion, and Tim Netolicky, Cedar Rapids; siblings, Christine Vorba, Anamosa and Sonny Bell, rural Vinton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents, Ray and Julia (Young) Bell and two sisters, Opal and Beatrice.
Fern was born May 6, 1930, in Low Wassie, Mo., and lived most of her life in the Cedar Rapids area. She married Henry L. Netolicky on Aug. 10, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. Henry died Jan. 9, 2001.
Fern attended the First Church of the Open Bible. She enjoyed quilting and, in her younger years, she raised a large vegetable garden and liked to grow flowers.
A memorial fund has been established.
