Brian O. Pruitt passed away on Aug. 12, 2021, of pneumonia caused by COVID-19. Born Feb. 3, 1974, he was only 47 years old. Loved by many for his fun-loving nature and hard, honest work. Brian enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and watching some good ol' football.
He is survived by his two children: daughter, Brianna Pruitt and son, Taylor Pruitt; and a loving partner, Danelle Vrba, all here in Iowa. He is also survived in his home state of Florida by his family: sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Devaughn Shumate; niece and nephew, Abby and Jake Shumate; grandniece, Kylie Kincaid; brother, Frankie; and mother, Gayle. He has many beloved friends and family members, near and far.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Pruitt.
