Sharon Elizabeth Huston, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22,
at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service
in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will take place at
11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home.
Sharon was born on Sept. 5, 1942, in Lamont, Iowa, the daughter of Anthony "Ted" and Maxine (Washburn) Beaman. She was united in marriage to Dennis Finder; the couple later divorced. Sharon then married Mike Huston; they enjoyed 45 years together. She moved to Arkansas with Mike and lived there for over 20 years, Sharon returned to Iowa following his passing. She enjoyed reading and traveling; Sharon visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Costa Rica. She was a loving mother and caring grandmother. Sharon loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include her children, Lori (Lyle) Hanson, Lynnette (Randy) Merta and Lesley Finder; step-daughters, Michelle (Bruce) Heiken and Lori Huston; grandchildren, Danielle (Cameron) Jorgenson, Addison, Kelsey Huston, Christopher (Jordan) Hanson, Chase Hanson and Marcus Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Claire Hanson, Ellias Tamoglia-Robinson and Harper.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Beaman; her husband, Mike Huston; and her brother, Denny Beaman.
