The more significant changes for Alburnett this season were related to the roster. The Pirates replaced seven starters from last year’s 1A State Duals runner-up squad, including a two-time state medalist in Tayten Coufal, who elected not to wrestle this season.
Alburnett has been a power in Class 1A but has moved to 2A this season. The Pirates have competed with programs from all classes in recent years and will apply the same approach to this season.
