On Aug. 10, one year after the derecho inflicted $11 billion dollars in damages, Iowa's junior Sen. Joni Ernst voted against passage of an infrastructure bill that would provide Iowa with badly needed funding for repair of our aging, damaged and behind-the-times bridges, roads and other infrastructure needs. Although Sen. Ernst voted against the needs and interests of the State of Iowa, this important measure was approved by the U.S. Senate by a 69-31 vote.
