John J. Reilly, 78, of Ankeny, passed away on Aug. 7, 2021, surrounded by his family. John was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Edward and Doris Reilly.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at Memorial Services of Iowa, 4208 N. Ankeny Blvd., with a prayer service beginning at 1 p.m. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E First St., in Ankeny.
John is survived by Jeanine, his wife of 57 years; daughters, Angie (Doug) Fletcher and Terri (Brad) Hastings; daughter-in-law, Lynette Reilly; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill Mitchell (Jolene Cleaver) and Karen Halboth; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ed; his parents; birthmother, Rosemary Mitchell; and sister, Pam Meyers.
