CORALVILLE — The city of Coralville is requiring masks in public buildings.
Visitors are required to wear masks even if they are vaccinated, in accordance with guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a news release said. The mandate will be in place until further notice.
“Johnson County is currently listed at substantial community transmission on the CDC’s COVID data tracker,” Coralville officials said in the news release. “Wearing a mask, social distancing and hand hygiene are effective ways to help keep the spread of COVID-19 and the Delta variant as low as possible.”
Buildings where masks are required include the Coralville Recreation Center, Coralville Public Library, the Indoor Pool until the pool deck is reached, the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts and Brown Deer Golf Club when not eating or drinking.
If experiencing symptoms, residents should stay home and contact a health provider regarding testing.
