Redshirt freshman strong safety Tyler Sash played last week after missing Northwestern with a shoulder injury. He was out of position on MSU's 52-yard gain that led to a TD. I have no idea what "percentage" he is playing at, but I'm pretty sure it's not 100. He's listed as a slash with senior Harold Dalton.

TE Tony Moeaki is out with a lower leg injury. He had his left leg rolled up in the second quarter and sat out the second half in sweats. He was productive before he went out, catching four passes for 24 yards. He's not listed on the two deeps and might not see the field this week.

Iowa hasn't won at Bloomington since 2002, a 24-8 win with OLB Grant Steen notching three INTs. But Iowa has only played one game there since then, the 2006 shocker, a 31-28 IU victory. In Bloomington, the series is tied 17-17-1. Iowa has dropped to in a row to the Hoosiers.

Both teams are trying to snap three-game losing streaks.

Shonn Greene is one of two running backs in FBS to rush for 100 yards or more in the first six games of the season. Connecticut's Donald Brown is the other. If that name sounds familiar, it's because you follow recruiting closely and know that Iowa pulled a scholarship on Brown in favor of Dana Brown, who is no longer with the team.

IU RB Marcus Thigpen ranks 12th in the nation in all-purpose yards (168.8). Defensive end Jamie Kirlew if tied for fourth in tackles for loss (1.8) and sacks (1.0). In IU's 38-20 victory at Kinnick Stadium last year, Kirlew had 3.5 sacks.
