-- This is a 6 p.m. kick from the last UM game in the Metrodome. It's on the Big Ten Network, if it works this week, with Wayne Larrivee, Chris Martin and Anthony Herron.
-- Iowa has a chance to finish with five wins in six games and log its first eight-win season since finishing 10-2 in 2004.
-- A bronze pig is up for grabs. Iowa has won six of the last seven games in the series.
-- This season, Iowa reclaimed the Cy-Hawk Trophy and the Heartland Trophy with victories over Iowa State and Wisconsin. Second-year Minnesota coach Tim Brewster is still looking for his first victory in a trophy game. The Gophers were close last week before falling, 35-32, to Wisconsin.
-- Four of Minnesota's six largest home crowds have come against the Hawkeyes. The largest Metrodome crowd for a Minnesota game was Nov. 23, 2002, when Iowa clinched a share of the Big Ten title. That's the goalposts through the revolving door game.
-- So far in Big Ten play, Iowa has beaten every team it lost to last season (Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, Indiana) and lost to every team it beat last season (Michigan State, Northwestern and Illinois). In case you're wondering, Iowa beat Minnesota, 21-16, at Kinnick last season.
-- DT Matt Kroul tied OL Bruce Nelson for the Iowa record with 48 straight starts. It's the longest active streak in the Big Ten and third-longest in FBS.
-- Iowa is tied with Houston for ninth in the country with the most TD drives of five plays or less (19).
-- RB Shonn Greene is the only back in the nation with 100 yards in all 11 games. The last Big Ten back to rush for more than 100 in all eight conference games was Penn State's Curtis Enis in 1997. The last Big Ten back to rush for more than 100 yards in every game was Northwestern's Darnell Autry in 1995.
-- Iowa's 18 interceptions are No. 2 in the country.
-- Minnesota ranks No. 1 in the nation with 30 takeaways (16 fumbles, 14 interceptions). The Gophers are fourth in turnover margin at plus-15.
-- Iowa has allowed one 100-yard rusher all season -- Maine's Jhamal Fluellen had 104 in the opener.
-- This will be Iowa's first night game at Minnesota since Nov. 23, 1996.
-- Five of Iowa's seven Big Ten games have been decided in the final minutes of play.
