Beautiful balloons
The colorful balloons in this year's Holiday DeLight Parade reminded me of the first time balloons were part of the Cedar Rapids Holiday Parade. In 1998 amateur handlers floated a snowman, a rocking horse and a toy soldier above excited spectators and under way too many skywalks. My husband and I were two of six handlers for the rocking horse. The balloons were owned by Greg Sadler of California.
