Breakfast Crossfire - Earth Day

Apr. 17, 2009 9:50 am
Often, debate on important issues of the day breaks out spontaneously at breakfast. Here's the latest.
Earlier this week, the topic was Earth Day.
Moderator: Ella, please eat your waffles. It's not good to waste food.
Ella: Hmmph. (Dropping fork, defiantly, and crossing her arms)
Tess: "Ella, next week is Earth Day. You shouldn't waste stuff."
Moderator: What do you know about Earth Day, Tess?
Tess: "You get rid of trash and clean up stuff and recycle. You don't waste food...Ella."
Moderator: Wow. So what are you going to do on Earth Day, Ella?
Ella: (Clearly agitated, frowning) "I'm not doing anything!"
And with that, the debate ended.
Next week: Global Warming, or when exactly will it be warm enough to blow up and fill the stupid pool? Hmmph.
