Iowa gets familiar opponent in ACC challenge

The pairings were released today for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge next fall. Iowa will host Virginia Tech on Dec. 1.
Thus, it appears Iowa will play only four non-Big Ten opponents on the road next season. Those include Northern Iowa, Iowa State and two undetermined opponents (Texas, Pittsburgh or Wichita State) in Kansas City's CBE Classic. All of those are bus trips.
Iowa played at Virginia Tech in the 2006 ACC-Big Ten Challenge and lost 69-65.
Here's the complete list of the challenge. The ACC won last year's challenge 6-5. Iowa lost 57-55 at Boston College.
