Baseball agent Scott Boras at it again

ESPN's Peter Gammons reported earlier this week that baseball super agent Scott Boras is going to be making exorbitant contract demands for San Diego State University pitcher Stephen Strasbourg, who is projected to be the No. 1 pick in June's amateur draft. Go figure.
The 20-year-old Strasburg, a 6-foot-4 righty, has a 9-0 record and 1.54 earned run average this season. He also has 135 strikeouts in 70 1/3 innings.
Gammons said Boras will seek a six-year, $50-million deal for Strasburg, whose fastball apparently has been clocked as high as 104 miles per hour. The draft record, by the way, is $10.5 million, which the Chicago Cubs shelled out for pitcher Mark Prior a few years back.
How did that work out for you, Chicago?
It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out, especially in this economy. The Washington Nationals have the first pick in the draft. Good luck negotiating, boys.
