I Never Thought of That ...

The title of Anita Barta's book (I Never Thought of That ...) as pointed out in today's Ramblin' column in The Gazette came from the prompts she used to give her students at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. She gave them a "prompt" and had them write out their answers on a piece of paper and sign it as a way to take attendance.
Now, years later, Anita has heeded their suggestions to "post" some of the best answers to some of her favorite prompts. A sampling follows:
They all wore marshmallows because ...
- They wanted to stick together.
- They were looking for two graham crackers to hook up with.
Oops ...
- My dog ate my assignment.
- I forgot to bring my notebook.
- I locked my keys in the car -- again.
What comes in threes?
- Buy two, get one free.
- Three holes in a bowling ball.
- Baseball strikes and outs.
- Third time is a charm.
If I could I would ...
- Marry a billionaire.
- Wood-chuck-wood.
- Fly.
Life is good because ...
- People are precious.
- Spring is on the way.
- Friday is near.
- Optimists live longer.
