Iowa Drivers Pass the Test

Jun. 4, 2009 9:20 am
Iowa ranks 8th-best in the nation on the 2009 GMAC Insurance National Drivers Test. The annual survey of 5,000 drivers includes actual questions from motor vehicle license exams.

New York and New Jersey ranked last. Idaho and Wisconsin tied for first. Iowa tied for 8th with Wyoming, Oregon and Minnesota.
Overall, the survey found that 41 million Americans couldn't pass a written driver's test. I encountered several on my way to work today.
