Stokes' national team wins gold

MEXICO CITY -- The United States 16-and-under national girls' basketball team completed a dominant run Friday, defeating Canada, 103-52, for the gold medal at the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship.Kiah Stokes, a junior-to-be at Linn-Mar, registered three points and three rebounds in 10 minutes.The United States finished 5-0 -- winning by an average of 70 points per game -- and earned a berth in the 17U FIBA World Championship.
