Know the source of the health care arguments
Aug. 18, 2009 12:49 am
As long as citizens are denied health insurance because of pre-existing conditions, individuals are dropped by their insurance companies after they are diagnosed with serious health conditions, medical expenses are a leading cause of bankruptcy, lifetime and yearly limits on coverage exist, doctors are dictated to by insurance companies and insurance premiums and deductibles rise higher, I will continue to educate others with personal health care stories.
The insurance companies' political action committees are spending millions on Web sites and hate-talk radio shows to defeat health care reform. Those who are already fearful of anything that the government does are especially vulnerable into being duped with the propaganda. They are also more likely to spread it through the Internet.
Hopefully, enough people will go to authoritative news reports that list their primary sources as well as the biography of the writer and why sources are an authority on the subject discussed.
I recommend watching Iowa Public Television and listening to National Public Radio. They have authorities from all perspectives.
