Chatwood sharp in Kernels win at Wisconsin
Tyler Chatwood shut down Wisconsin on two hits for 6 2/3 innings and designated hitter Matt Crawford drove in two runs Friday night in Cedar Rapids' 4-1 Midwest League victory over the Timber Rattlers.
Chatwood improved to 6-7. Andrew Taylor worked a perfect ninth inning with three strikeouts for his seventh save.
Gabe Jacobo tripled in a run for the Kernels.
The teams play again Saturday night at 6:35.
