Texas Tenors advance in TV talent show

America says the Texas Tenors have talent.
The trio - which includes 1987 UNI graduate John Hagen - lassoed a spot in the finals of “America's Got Talent.”
The announcement came last night, during the live results episode of the popular NBC talent search.
The Texas Tenors wowed Tuesday night's crowd with a pop-opera version of “Unchained Melody.” Judge David Hasselhoff declared: “Without a doubt, you are the front-runners to win this competition.”
Ten semifinalists performed Tuesday and viewers were invited to vote afterward to send four acts to the final round. The winner will receive $1 million and a headlining slot at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
More semifinalists will compete next week.
