As a parent of three children in the Linn-Mar school district, I have a deep interest in Tuesday's school board election. The current board has done a fantastic job, but there is still a lot of work to be done to manage the growth in our district.
I have had the pleasure to work together with Todd Hutcheson for the last several years in various youth activities. I've seen his passion for our youth, his drive to improve their lives, as well as his strong leadership skills.
Todd will provide a complete perspective on education. Although not an educator himself, his father, mother, wife, brother, sister and others in his family all are or have been educators. He has three children in various stages in their academic life - college, high school and elementary - and is intensely involved in each of their activities. Todd's well-rounded views will serve the district very well. He will challenge us to become even better.
