Government workers’ perks nearly obscene
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Sep. 10, 2009 12:24 am
If one is wondering about the sorry state of our economy, all they need do is to examine wages-benefits-travel and other perks we the taxed are paying for a large share of our public employees. They border on obscene.
The line people - some that do the labor and meet the public - are near what they should be. Others are out of touch with what their market value should be. It is no wonder the public is disgusted with government.
We need a total overhaul of bodies that govern and serve.
