Treat all people, health services fairly
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Let's make sure we cover everyone in health care reform. Currently, women's health concerns are ignored. Private plans must be forced by mandate to cover birth control even though they cover prescriptions for Viagra. Many government programs stop paying for reproductive health services at age 45 despite that many life-threatening conditions may occur in the early years of menopause.
The system is not serving everyone. Services are cherry-picked by insurance companies and legislators who cite “moral objections.” In reform, let's make sure all services and people are treated fairly.
