Health care bill really just socialism in action
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Once again we discover more about H.R. 3200 and it's just more bad news. Does Congress realize the potential negative economic impact that forcing employers to provide insurance will have? Higher prices, fewer jobs and maybe even lower-paying ones - just what we don't need in a recession.
Many people cannot afford health insurance, so why should we be forced to buy it or be fined? All of this reminds me of an institution once established by the czars of Russia: serfdom. Make the average person so poor and dependent on the government that we become nothing more than slaves to the state.
Democrats and liberals claim to “care” about Americans, yet they want to force their will upon us and make our lives worse, socialism in action. Is this the “change we need”? Americans should have some backbone and do something about this before it's too late.
