War isn’t pretty, and photo reflects that

In reference to the outrage in letters to the editor regarding the photograph of Lance Cpl. Joshua Bernard as he lay wounded being published in The Gazette: I guess we should ban all war movies ever made. They show soldiers being shot, wounded and dead.
Reality check: War is not pretty. I think the publication of the photograph should be taken as a tribute to this brave soldier who suffered and died when he was defending us in the line of duty to our country.
