When a player doesn't practice, more and more, it gets out.
This may be the case for Iowa TE Tony Moeaki. The senior conducted interviews with the media on Tuesday and seemed to be fine. There didn't appear to be a limp and there was no boot. Of course, he stood there for 10 minutes, so that's the snapshot.
That's what's out there today. We'll see.
In the injury department, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz has always held a player out if it's the type of injury that could rob him of three games if he played one. See OL Seth Olsen last year with the sprained ankle. That might be the case here.
Ferentz has his radio show tonight. I'll be Marc from Fairfax.
BTW, Ferentz was extremely complimentary when asked about Moeaki's blocking effort vs. Iowa State.
"Yeah, it was pretty good," Ferentz said. "It was pretty good in camp too. He is a pretty good player."
It should be noted that Ferentz had a giant grin when answering this question. So, you know it was good.
Iowa TE Tony Moeaki seemed fine during Tuesday interviews. If he had an ankle injury that might keep him out this week, I couldn't tell. We'll have to see on this one. (Gazette file)
