CEDAR RAPIDS - Charles and Mary Chapman of Cedar Rapids will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the Cedar Memorial Family Center, 4200 1st Ave NE. Friends, family, and co-workers are invited to share this special day. Hosts of the celebration will be their two children and spouses.
The former Mary Abernathy and Chuck Chapman were married October 25, 1944, at St. Pauls Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. Their children are Alan (Kate) Chapman of Marion, IA, and Craig Chapman (Robert Buchenau) of Cedar Rapids.
