Special election set Nov. 24 for Taylor's Iowa House seat

A special election will be held Nov. 24 to fill the Iowa House District 33 seat being vacated by Rep. Dick Taylor, D-Cedar Rapids.
Taylor, 78, announced his retirement Monday, citing family health concerns. He has served for nearly 10 years in the district that covers Precincts 1-11 in Cedar Rapids.
Gov. Chet Culver set the election Tuesday.
