Fagan has provided honest, solid leadership

Brian Fagan is a dedicated leader. He was the face of leadership for Cedar Rapids during some of the most difficult moments of this city's history - the flood of 2008. He continues to demonstrate solid leadership by his measured approach to the many difficult decisions facing this community. Brian recognizes the need to balance the needs of individuals, businesses, not-for-profits and the city.

Those who know Brian can tell you he is honest, enthusiastic and has a great sense of ownership. He has the energy this city needs to move forward. It would be like starting all over if any other candidate tried to fill his shoes.

His personal commitment to the community goes far beyond his role on the city council. He has given freely of his time to serve on the Visual Arts Commission Board. He currently serves on the Czech Village New Bohemia Urban Main Street Board, and pushes to make Cedar Rapids a bike-friendly community.

He understands the importance of not only rebuilding what we had, but truly making Cedar Rapids a vibrant, sustainable and eco-friendly community with a quality of life that attracts and retains a productive and diverse population.
