Fagan, McGrane can get to work right away

Our citizens have many complaints. Some complain regarding the use of non-local consultants that were hired. It makes sense to hire companies who have national and sometimes global experience with huge disasters such as our flood. These businesses can best serve us because of their more than just local experiences.
It makes sense to elect Brian Fagan and Jerry McGrane, who have been part of problem resolution for 16 months.
Why elect new people lacking these months of experience and background with the city's problems? Why elect persons who are interested in having a paycheck to rework their flooded properties or to push their own agendas through?
We need Brian and Jerry, who are well-versed with city business and who can “hit the ground running.” There will be no learning curve to “get up to speed.” We need people who will attend all or the largest percentage of city council meetings.
It is prudent for council members to be interested in the city's business and not in their own business ventures during meetings.
Council members should be listening to city council business rather than visiting with each other regarding other pursuits.
Fagan and McGrane are the persons to be elected as our mayor and our District 3 council member, respectively.
