More expensive to ignore family planning
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 29, 2009 12:21 am
As the governor prepares to chop at the budget, I ask that he approach it from a long-term view. Family planning is expensive, sure, but it's far more expensive if we choose to ignore it. For every dollar spent, the state ultimately saves $4. That's why it's been a particularly popular program on both sides of the political aisle.
Please, Gov. Chet Culver, keep family planning intact.
