So herky-jerky you need Dramamine and a bucket.
Iowa quarter back Ricky Stanzi had a nightmare third quarter. He was 4 of 11 for 48 yards and four interceptions. Then, the fourth quarter came and the Hawkeyes got the 17 mph wind out of the west/norhtwest.
Third quarter was a nightmare barf bag. Fourth quarter was a Dreamsicle.
Stanzi completed his first two passes in the fourth for 158 yards and two TDs, including 92-yard play-action TD pass to Marvin McNutt and the Hawkeyes fought back from a two 14-point deficits and won going away, 42-24.
The No. 7 Hawkeyes improved to 9-0 (5-0 Big Ten) and increased their winning streak to 13 games before 70,585 fans at Kinnick Stadium.
The wind was a factor.
Stanzi had five interceptions throwing into the wind. With the wind in the fourth, he was money.
The TD pass to McNutt was the fourth longest TD play in Iowa history. On his next pass of the next series, Stanzi hit WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, who broke a tackle by Chris Adkins and scored from 66 yards for a 28-24 lead that the Hawkeyes wouldn't give up.
Iowa defensive coordinator Norm Parker did spend some time in the hospital at some point this week, but was in the pressbox on Saturday.
Iowa made it 35-24 when it turned CB Shaun Prater's interception into Brandon Wegher's 6-yard TD, his second TD run Saturday. Wegher finished with three TDs and his second 100-yard effort, 118 yards, capped by a 27-yard TD with 1:12 left.
Stanzi finished 13 of 26 for 337 yards, five interceptions and two TDs. It was his first 300-yard, five-interception day.
We'll have more numbers, quotes and video in a few hours.
