Corbett not promising the unattainable

Recently, a candidate for Cedar Rapids mayor has been running a television commercial stating that there will be more building in the next 24 months than the last 24 years. Has he checked with his consultants to make sure that would even be possible?
Having been around Cedar Rapids for more than the last 24 years and seeing all of the residential, retail and industrial construction, I don't think it would be possible to even match that building pace in the next 10 years.
Ron Corbett, on the other hand, does not fill us with unobtainable campaign promises but has three plans to move Cedar Rapids forward. Corbett has plans outlined on economic development, crime prevention and flood recovery. Each plan has distinct points to better the future of Cedar Rapids. Corbett will lead Cedar Rapids in a positive direction, not one of stagnation and public frustration.
