USA loses 1st game at World Jr. A Challenge

Canada East scored three unanswered goals in the third period to force overtime, then won a shootout, 3-2, to pick up a 5-4 victory over the United States on Sunday night at the World Junior 'A' Challenge hockey tournament in Prince Edward Island.
Team USA includes Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Jeff Costello, Mike Parks, Derek DeBlois and Mac Bennett. Parks had a goal in the game.
RoughRiders head coach/general manager Mark Carlson is Team USA's head coach. With the exception of one player, the team consists entirely of players from the United States Hockey League.
Team USA's next game of preliminary round play is Tuesday against Belarus.
