Rebate sales tax for flood repair bills

There should be a rebate on the state income tax for the 7 percent sales tax that has been paid on the flood-damage repair bills on structures. This rebate should not be a duplication of benefits.
If you agree, then help by suggesting this to any and all the candidates, all leaders, and all elected state representatives. The kind of leader we need is the one who tells us that he or she is going to do enough for long enough to make this happen or let us all know why it did not happen. I hope this idea is good enough that committing to work for it will make a difference in a candidate's election. That is what elections and good ideas are for.
