Neocons fill coffers at the people’s expense
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Nearly every day, my patriotism is being questioned, as is most of yours. Well, I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. The neocons, their talking heads and the lemmings that follow along dutifully, more than suggest that those of us who don't blindly accept their ideologies are not “real Americans.”
These are the same people who support the redistribution of wealth from hardworking people to corporations and their executives through deregulation and tax breaks for the wealthy - feeding us the trickle-down promise. Thirty years of trickle and we only have to look at our 401(k)s, our pension plans and where the jobs have gone to see how well that's helped all of us lesser Americans.
The same people scream about tax increases, but have no problem with annual double-digit increases in health care premiums. We lesser Americans have no influence in boardrooms, but we certainly do when it comes to electing our representatives.
The neocons are wrong, constitutionally and biblically. I know many exceptions, but their leadership sacrifice the lives of us lesser Americans while they fill their coffers and hide in their gated communities.
It's time the patriotic silent majority stands up to this fascist vocal minority. Join me in the fight for democracy. Send me your thoughts:
