Getting H1N1 shot a good experience
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 20, 2009 11:58 pm
We were fortunate to receive an H1N1 shot on Nov. 15 at the Community Health Free Clinic (under Linn County Public Health direction). My understanding was they had 900 people scheduled. We had an appointment for 1:10 p.m. Upon arrival, we were met by numerous staff, who handled the entire process efficiently through a well-organized plan. Our expectations were that the process should take about an hour. We left the building by 1:15; what a pleasure to experience.
My thoughts were, whenever we need to get something organized and implemented, in our community, these are the people to turn to and seek advice.
Final thought ... they did all this I am sure on a limited budget. Goes to show what great people with a plan can accomplish. You have set a standard everyone should try to achieve, in either the public or private sector
