Dems’ actions over Johnson opening unfair
The Gazette Opinion Staff

There will be a special election in Johnson County for a seat on the Board of Supervisors. We can sincerely thank Solon resident Lori Cardella and others in getting a petition drive going to make that happen. Their patriotic efforts override a questionable decision made by three partisan Democrat officials who anointed a member of their machine to the seat left vacant by the passing of Larry Meyers.
Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek, a Democrat, has publicly stated, “How ironic it was to see Lori Cardella and her Republican friends down on the Pentacrest working so hard to get students' signatures, while not fully informing them what they were signing.”
Pulkrabek's statement is fabrication. He betrayed the people he supposedly serves. People knew exactly what they were signing. His is conduct unbecoming of the county sheriff.
