1A/2A girls' state golf moved to Adel

The Iowa Girls' High School Athletic Union has entered a three-year agreement with River Valley Golf Course in Adel to host the 2010 Class 1A/2A Iowa Girls' State Golf Meet.  River Valley will be one of two courses hosting the two-day state event June 1-2.  The recently renovated Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny will serve as host for the Class 3A/4A state meet.The par 72, River Valley Golf Course, is open to the public and offers 18 challenging holes overlooking the Raccoon River Valley.  The course is fully irrigated with two lakes that come into play. There is also a 300-yard driving range available to golfers.
