A.J. Derby enrolling early at Iowa
Gazette Communications has learned that Iowa City High All-State quarterback A.J.
Derby will be enrolling at the Universityof Iowa in January.
Derby says he will participate in spring football next March with the Hawkeyes.
Derby committed to the Hawkeyes on Oct. 1, after being one of the most sought after QB recruits in the country. He also had scholarship offers from Florida, Alabama, Miami (FL), and Michigan.
Derby will not be playing basketball for the Little Hawks this year, but instead focusing on football, and getting a jump at Iowa.
A.J. will be playing in the US Army All-American game on Jan. 9th in San Antonio.
