Government-run military care doesn’t work
The Gazette Opinion Staff

For those of you who think government-run health care is what you need, I'd like to tell you that government-run plans currently in place don't work.
I have Tricare, which is for the military. I was told I couldn't have a CT scan because “safety and efficacy has not been established and the procedure is unproven so is excluded from coverage.” CT scans have been around for years and are a proven, safe medical procedure. Furthermore, a CT scan is the procedure my doctor needs to see if the medication I take is reducing the inflammation in my arteries.
Apparently the government thinks it knows better than my doctor.
If this is how military families are treated, why would civilian families be treated any differently?
