Iowa driver charged in deadly hit-and-run

Police have charged a Sioux City man with vehicular homicide in a hit-and-run accident that killed another man over the weekend.
Police say Edward Miller, of Sioux City, died after he was struck by a car late Saturday. Miller was found lying in the street. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say authorities later found the car suspected of hitting Miller a few blocks away. The owner, Ryan Deming, was located and taken into custody. He was charged with vehicular homicide and other charges, including drunken driving.
Deming was taken to the Woodbury County jail, where he remained on Monday. Jail officials had no information on whether Deming had an attorney.
