Missouri AD sounds off on Big 12, likes aspects of Big Ten
Dec. 23, 2009 1:32 pm
Revenue sharing seems a big topic with Missouri Athletics Director Mike Alden, whose school ranks among the many considered a potential Big Ten school. Here's what he told Columbia (Mo.) Tribune and spread via a Kansas City radio affiliate.
"I don't think there's any question that if we don't get to that level at some point, we're going to continue to find ourselves further and further behind the Big Ten, the SEC and probably the ACC, as well as behind Texas and Oklahoma, in particular, and maybe Nebraska in our league," Alden said. "Our hope would be that the league would continue to push harder in those areas, for a new television contract for more exposure and for equal revenue distribution."
