Businesses should pull ads off Sinclair stations
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 23, 2009 11:26 pm
Recently, we have been subjected to the dire warning crawling across the bottom of our television screen informing us of the impending loss of KGAN, Channel 2, if we are a Mediacom subscriber. Now that the viewers have been made aware of this, I feel that it is important to be sure that the businesses who advertise on KGAN are aware as well.
Considering the large number of households that will not be reached by the Channel 2 advertising, it would seem prudent for those businesses to remove their advertising dollars from Channel 2 and devote their budgets to the two local stations that will continue to reach households served by Mediacom.
And businesses should be sure to tell Sinclair Broadcasting the reason for their doing so.
