Health care vote violates Constitution
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 29, 2009 11:08 pm
Under the U.S. Constitution, Congress has no authority to require citizens to purchase health insurance, much less to fine and or incarcerate anyone who does not do so. Nor does Congress have any authority to fine employers who do not provide “mandated” insurance coverage.
Both the Senate and House versions of
ObamaCare trample on the very Constitution that those in Congress have sworn to uphold.
All members of Congress who have voted in favor of these nefarious “health care” bills have violated their oath of office. What can we do?
1) Call and write our senators and representatives to remind them about their sworn duty. 2) Vote them all out of office and replace them with those who will take both the Constitution seriously.
