Health bill does many meaningful things

The health care reform bill is not everything it should be, but in this political climate, it's not too shabby.
It does many things toward meaningful cost reduction - bundling of payments, the gathering of data, a strengthened Medicare advisory commission, fee-for-performance experiments, etc. Also, banning coverage for pre-existing conditions and dropping coverage once people get sick will not be allowed.
It will cover 30 million more people, end overpayment on Medicare Advantage, make the first real attempt to use medical evidence to guide health care spending, provide financial incentives to limit excess coverage and so on.
