Marion school board may expand middle school construction plans

Marion school board members are holding a special meeting this afternoon to review bids for the district's Vernon Middle School construction project.

The district is planning to reconfigure the sixth-through eighth-grade building into a fifth-through-eighth-grade structure.

The multistage project would be financed by bond issue and school infrastructure sales tax revenues.
